Musical Comedy "Spaced Out"

A fame-seeking former reality TV contestant and a socially deficient cameraman are sent to uncover the secrets of the Beacon, an alien-worshipping cult led by a madman with three wives who believes the aliens are returning to save him and his followers. But we learn something they don't know: our planet lies on the brink of world domination by a surprisingly snarky alien race.

In an age when social network updates and a never-ending slew of viral crap-o-tainment have replaced real, face-to-face human interaction we ask: Has the time come for our surrender?

Congratulations, Mr. Crowley

Kurt Crowley and I will be continuing our work on Spaced Out!

As soon as my collaborator is a little further along into music directing/ co-conducting the Broadway smash musical Hamilton.

I have spent a couple of years working on a memoir, and it's in the hands of an editor now before I start shopping it to agents.

In the meantime, stay spaced out, and stay tuned!

Kurt Crowley keeping his hands busy with "Bring it On" and "Fly"

When not busy associate conducting "In the Heights" on Broadway, which closes at the end of January, 2013, Kurt Crowley is tickling the ivories for auditions and rehearsals for the new show "Fly" which will debut in July, 2013 at Dallas Theater Center, according to the New York Times.

"Spaced Out!" Co-lyricist Douglas recently traveled to NYC (leaving just 2 days before hurricane Sandy) where he and Crowley worked on additional new songs for "Spaced Out!"

The pair worked from a short-term sub-lease apartment in Astoria, where they met with enthusiastic approval from the owner's caged and elderly black cat.
